In memoriam…

These paintings were projects created of people losing their life in unnecessary gun violence or accidents. They were created in collaboration with the families. This project is continual and maintained without any costs to the grieving family members.

The project to support surviving families first originated with Syed reaching out to the New Zealanders after the Christchurch massacre. Appropriately named NZ51 Syed completed and delivered paintings to the families willing to participate in the project.

The images are selected from photographs provided by the family. A preliminary painting is created and shared with the family for approvals. Any specific hobbies or life events are also discussed and referenced in the paintings. The final painting is protected with varnish and framed, appropriately packaged and shipped. This project also covers any cost for customs clearance insuring the recipients a no cost experience.
